As you are probably aware, a new Secondary School is due to open in Greystones in 2014.

The school, which will be called Temple Carraig School will be adjacent to Greystones Educate Together National School and Gaelscoil Na gCloch Liath. We hope that all schools will be able to share the facilities on this new academic campus.

Temple Carraig School will be run under the patronage of the Church of Ireland.

The Board of Management of Greystones Educate Together National School has passed on their congratulations to the team behind the successful Church of Ireland bid, wishing them every success.  As one of the feeder schools to the new school, we are excited about building a strong relationship with Temple Carraig School.

Educate Together had also applied for patronage of the new Secondary School.  We’re naturally disappointed that we were not successful, and would like to express our thanks to all those involved in the campaign.

Paul Rowe, CEO of Educate Together wrote on 31st August 2012: “..I wanted again to commend all of those who completed or gathered expressions of interest, shared and distributed information, attended and organised meetings, and otherwise contributed to the campaign.  We are especially thankful to the Committee who initiated and drove this project, and coordinated all of this work with great commitment and skill.”
