What a lovely day we had today in both second classes. We showed a slide show of all the work we have collected so far. We have a lot of amazing work.

We looked at a photograph from the North beach in Bray at a fossilised tree dating back to the ice age and talked about the remains of the forest under the sea that goes across to Wales and England. Using  clay the children tried out some techniques that will be useful for tomorrow on the beach at the cove.

Then we – Fiona and Liz met the photographer, Joe at the cove to work out good view points for photographing tomorrows work. We had to work out the tide and sun position.

We’re really looking forward to tomorrow. Parents you are all very welcome to join us. Both second classes will be walking from the school at 9.15. We will be making work on the beach from 9.30 – 11.30. It will then be photographed.
