Both 6th classes have been learning a lot about Irish History this year, including the events of Bloody Sunday 1920. It seemed fitting to make a trip to Croke Park to complete the learning cycle.
Lots of children had never been to Croke park before so there was great excitement. Our tour guide Jack was fantastic and taught us lots about Croke park and the history of the GAA. The chidlre were very curious and asked lots of questions which he answered for us.
Here's to the next time the children visit, hopefully wearing a jersey and playing on the pitch!
