We used the Restorative Practice FRIENDS values to help us formulate our class values.
F- fair
R- respect
I- inclusive
E- empathy
N- nurture
D- Did you...?
S- safe
We discussed the values and the children created statements that they felt showed what those values would look like in action in our classroom community.
They all drew a giraffe to represent themselves, the giraffe is known as the restorative animal because it has the largest heart of all land animals and it has a long neck so it can see different points of view.
