On Thursday 19th September, girls from 5th and 6th class travelled to Bray Emmets to take part in a participation blitz for Gaelic football. The girls had a tremendous time and played some super football.
It was a very exciting, fun experience because we got to play with our friends and got to go against other schools.
On the bus we all felt excited and nervous at the same time.it was a thirty-minute drive from our school to Bray Emmett's.
When we got off the bus there were a lot of schools ready to play. We got on the pitch and started warming up for the first game we had that day.
We were split up into two different teams (Ciara's and Terry's).
The people participating in fifth class were: Milly, Isabelle, Milabelle, Willow, Freya, Adele, Yara, Aaliyah, Amiah and Caoimhe.
From sixth class were: Emma, Hazel, Calla, Zaara, Isabelle, Sanvi, Sarah, Sophie, Ailbhe Audrey, Matilda, Aoibhe, Freya, Nina, Grace, Esme, Honour, Laura, Sophia, Amelia, and Mieke.
In the end Ciara's team ended up having 3 wins and 1 draw.
Terry's team won one, drew one, and lost two.
