This half term, 4th Class have been learning all about Irish folklore, exploring spooky superstitions and tales of the supernatural, as well as fascinating fairy legends from around Ireland.
They visited ancient Irish sites online, from Staigue Ring Fort to Poulnabrone, and listened to traditional stories of the Banshee, the Púca, and other mysterious beings. The children enjoyed The Stolen Child poem by W.B. Yeats and created beautiful illustrated responses based on it.
Working in groups, they researched different Irish myths and legends, then designed and presented creative projects to the rest of the class.
Maith sibh! Fantastic work!
