What is the PAC?
The PAC is a group of parent/guardian volunteers who support the school through fundraising, events and community initiatives.
All parents/guardians are members of the Parents’ Association.
How can I get involved?
You can volunteer at events, support initiatives, share skills or join WhatsApp interest groups to stay informed.
There is no minimum commitment required.
Do I need to be on the committee to help?
No. Most PAC activities are supported by volunteers who are not committee members.
What events does the PAC organise?
Whole-school initiatives such as:
- Craft Fairs
- Sponsored Walks
- Book Fairs
- Parade participation
- Fundraising campaigns
Does the PAC organise class events?
No. Class communications, trips and activities are organised directly by teachers or the school office.
Do I need Garda Vetting?
Only for certain roles involving direct pupil engagement. The school can advise where required.
How does the PAC communicate?
Via newsletters, Class Reps, WhatsApp Community groups and the school website.
What does PAC fundraising support?
Projects that enhance pupil experience and the school environment, such as playgrounds, gardens and equipment.
Can businesses sponsor PAC events?
Philanthropic support from local businesses is welcome where it aligns with the school’s ethos and policies.
In line with the school’s Commercialism Policy, partnerships must remain commercially neutral and child-centred.
This means:
- No direct marketing to pupils
- No advertising or promotional activity aimed at children
- No incentive schemes encouraging purchases
- No branded curriculum materials
Businesses may support through donations or services, with appropriate adult-level acknowledgement where suitable.
Please contact the PAC to discuss potential support.
Where can I read PAC meeting minutes?
Summarised AGM and PAC meeting minutes are available in the Minutes section of this page.
